Do you know who Tucker Max is? He has a lisp, he thinks “fucking rape sucks, man,” and he is the living embodiment of a “NO FAT CHIX!!!” T-shirt. The movie version of his book, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, opened last week at #25, with Max promising, “I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell . . . will be bigger than ANYONE (except me) is predicting.” And thus far, it has piled in a whopping $863,000. To put that in perspective, the Sandra Bullock stalker movie upon which Ebert bestowed one and a half stars made more in its 5th weekend than IHTSBIH has done in its entire release. To put that another way, a film about a woman who writes crossword puzzles and trips over things is more interesting to Americans than a film about drunk guys fucking strippers.

Ah, well. You roll the dice, you take your chances. Just because you have a popular blog doesn’t mean it’ll make a great movie. Something the Suits should’ve learned by now, but are slow in realizing.
Tucker is a douche and a fraud. He is so sensitive, he can’t take any criticism on his own board, they delete more posts there than anywhere I’ve ever seen. Here’s to the shit bomb that is Tucker’s movie. Maybe now he will stop calling what he does “art”.
Tucker is the world’s biggest poser.
I’m a hot girl, and I wouldn’t give that gauky fuck a second look. Dude is UUUUUGLY.
tucker made the huge mistake of trying to make the characters in the movie exactly like him and his friends, thinking “we’re funny everyone will like us.” Problem is the whole thing is one big cliched inside joke with no mass appeal.
As a Tucker fan, I could have figured that the movie would be a flop in theatres. It’s legacy will be that it gets played at frat houses and house parties for evermore.
I was going to write something about how bad it is to objectify women, but I got distracted by the enormous ad on the right side of the screen featuring a woman with fake FF breasts offering anonymous sex.
I’ll get back to you after I get done staring at her.
