When Tom Cruise noticed a short in his preferred Kate Cruise Bot's motherboard mere hours before an anticipated Golden Globes party, he had to make due with his backup bot, despite the fact that she was long overdue for her scheduled maintenance. There was no time to readjust her haphazardly placed facial features or add that exhausted "I've been chasing after a baby for two hours, and before that I was shoe shopping for seven days straight" look in her eyes. Tom would just have to make do and hope that nobody noticed. At least he'd had the forethought to add "Suri is beautiful and wonderful and magnificent" to her vocabulary database.
