“This will confirm that Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles,” says Gibson’s rep, Alan Nierob, confirming earlier reports of the event. No further details were available.

“Everything is great! They couldn’t be happier,” a friend tells People. “Everyone’s healthy and thrilled. He loooves it!”

Lucky Lucia hit the genetic jackpot and was born with her mother’s fake lips and her father’s alcohol tolerance. She can’t lose!

“He wants to handle this as privately as possible, and Samantha is making a circus out of it,” says the insider.

Britney Spears’ comeback is complete — she has topped a new poll to find the best celebrity mom.

And the singer’s fans have obviously noticed Spears’ efforts. She received a mammoth 74 percent share of the vote in a new poll by U.K. company Park Christmas Saving to find the best mother in show business.

Following in second place is Spears’ childhood rival, Christina Aguilera, who pulled in 12 per cent of the votes, while mother-of-six Angelina Jolie was in third.

What do you think pushed Britney over the top in this poll? Her encouragement for Sean and JJ to expand their vocabularies? Her desire to keep them close in times of crisis? The couple made a surprise visit to the Licky Licious gelato store where the owner Ihab Fakhouri snapped a picture of the family that was later posted on Twitter.

Samantha Burke, the 24-year-old aspiring actress whom Law met while filming Sherlock Holmes in New York City last year, gave birth to a 5-lb., 12-oz daughter Tuesday night.
