Catherine Deneuve lashes out against giving screentime to one's boobs, Alison Lohman and Rachel Blanchard do just that, and Sophie Marceau forgoes the screen altogether and just pops one of hers out on the red carpet. Nudity is a Cannes-do at Cannes! And that pretty much exhausts our cache of puns on the word "Cannes", so please read on without fear.
It's Cannes time, everyone! Whoopee! Put on your berets, nosh on some freedom fries, and dig into some good old-fashioned celebrity skin!
Alison Lohman, the well-scrubbed costar of Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, shows off her rack in the upcoming Atom Egoyan film Where the Truth Lies, as does Road Trip's Rachel Blanchard. These are debut nude scenes from both lovely lassies. No U.S. release date so far . . .
Sophie Marceau has never been one to shy away from busting out her crumpets onscreen, but at Cannes this year she went for the gold and aired out one of her French rolls right there on the red carpet, in front of Dieu and everyone.

It appears that Sophie's from the Tara Reid school of nip slips: "Oh heavens! It appears that the entire side of my dress has fallen completely down, over my arm, leaving the entire side of my torso exposed to flash bulbs and prying eyes! Sacre bleu, however on earth did that happen? Mayhaps I should pull it up? Yes, yes, I should . . . hm . . . I think I will . . . yes. Now, maybe? . . . No, now. OK. Gosh, I hope nobody got any pictures!"
On the other side of the coin–the SEXY coin!–veteran fox on wheels Catherine Deneuve is proving that she's finally old and crotchety by pooh-poohing those who show their old crotch-eties. The Belle du Jour babe du jour states that she suddenly and inexplicably finds silver-screen skin disgusting and distracting. "I hate nudity in cinema. It's so crass," she says. "For me, the most beautiful love scenes are the ones that leave something to the imagination. Even as a spectator, I find it really hard to watch nude scenes, because I see only the person, not the character. My career has gone on so long, I think, because I have never given anything away." Except that she has. Many, many times over. In eight films, to be exact. Ahem.
