It Was . . . MURDER!

Good morning. It's Wednesday, July 15, 2009 and Michael Jackson is still dead. Here is all the MJ news of the day.

ï Debbie Rowe and her lawyers say that she did NOT receive a $4 million "payoff" from Katherine Jackson, and that she will not seek custody of Prince Michael and Paris. She'll just continue to receive the payments she and MJ settled on after their divorce. Granted, custody of the kids would mean a giant payday, but rest assured, Deb has enough dough to keep her in lonesome wolf T-shirts for many happy years to come.

ï The other day, LaToya Jackson claimed that Michael was MURDERED! And we all laughed because LaToya is a funny lady. But it turns out, the funny lady speaks truth. TMZ confirms:
Multiple law enforcement sources tell TMZ the LAPD is already treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide, and they are focusing on Dr. Conrad Murray.

Law enforcement sources tell us the evidence points to the anesthesia Propofol as the primary cause of Jackson's death. . . [and] there is already "plenty of powerful evidence" linking Dr. Murray as the person who administered the drug to Jackson. The evidence includes various items found in Jackson's house, including the Propofol, an IV stand and oxygen tank.

In anyone else's house, that would be a cut and dry indication of murder, but in MJ's house, an IV stand is just another collectible chilling out next to the life-sized child mannequins.

ï Finally, Michael's brick-browed father Joe Jackson claims that he never laid a hand on his children. He told ABC News:

"Michael was never beat as they call it. Everyone spanked their kids when they did wrong, but not beat. Katherine spanked Michael more than I did, because I was working two jobs and she was at home with him the most."

Nah, Joe never beat him. Whipped him, smacked him, punched him, pinched him, drop-kicked him, nunchucked him, stabbed him, and pistol-whipped him, sure. Just not beat.

A slain king, a poisoning, a Prince with a duty to avenge his father's death, and a treacherous trollop of a mother. This is just like Hamlet.

This is turning out to be quite the Thriller.

    Who's the avenging prince? LaToya?
    But I like your scenario.

The horse is still dead and we're still beating him. Time to bury the sucker, people.

I hear you, but I don't think investigating a homicide counts as beating a dead horse. That would put the cold case files department out of business. And the prince, to answer Big Earl's query, is Prince Michael II.
