He fought to stay alive, but his body started to shiver. No mere mortal can resist the evil of the . . . Demerol?
A lot of the shock of the sudden death of Michael Jackson has faded a little, and we've started to let the light in. At any rate, we've started to chuckle a little at the "MJ Stops; Gets Enough" "His Heart Couldn't Beat It" headlines. And now that we've given people like Larry King and Al Sharpton and Uri Geller an appropriate reason to trot out pics of themselves with Michael and talk about what good friends they were, some more serious questions are popping up. Like, "hey what happened and why did this dude die at 50". The reigning theory is an overdose of Demerol. TMZ scoops it:
A close member of Michael Jackson's family has told us Jackson received a daily injection of a synthetic narcotic similar to morphine — Demerol — and yesterday he received a shot at 11:30 AM.
Family members are saying the dosage was "too much" and that's what caused his death.
The autopsy has apparently just begun (8 A.M. PST) so we should know soon enough. God only knows what they'll find when they open Mike up. Besides the Elephant Man's bones, we mean.
