The Hollywood Poop

Michael Jackson’s Robot Clone

robot-michael-jacksonIn the five amazing, genius-filled, Pulitzer-Prize-worthy years of CelebNewsWire, many stories have stood out as favorites. Cisco Adler’s low-swinging ball bag. Britney Spears’s poon parade of terror. Russell Crowe as terrorist target. But there was one sadly squandered opportunity. Though Michael Jackson wanted to build a giant laser-beam-shooting robot version of himself to police the outskirts of Vegas while singing his most famous tunes, that dream never came to fruition. But we’ve learned that a robot version of Jacko could actually be in our future, though on a sadly smaller scale. Our own gossip robot twin, FemaleFirst, reports:

The ‘Thriller’ star – who died of acute Propofol intoxication aged 50 in June – underwent several three dimensional scans in 1996 so a virtual reality ‘robotic’ twin could be produced.

It is thought the scans could now be used to bring the singer back in pop videos, computer games or even films.

The anonymous US businessman who owned the images and has reportedly been trying to sell them for $1 million told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “The data has been in our archives since he had the scans. The thing about this data is it immortalised him at the age of 37, before his nose was disfigured and when he was in the prime of his life.”

Let’s hope Joe Jackson doesn’t get in on this deal. Think about it. A robot clone can’t spend money on diamond-encrusted toilet-seat covers for his pet elephant. A robot clone can’t talk back. A robot clone can’t suffer from crippling phobias. A robot clone can’t get sued by little boys. It’s the son Joe always wanted.
