Le Bon Isn't Down With Two Particular Girls on Film

A full two years after it happened, Simon Le Bon has a sneaking suspicion that Britney and Madonna's famous kiss was staged and that they aren't really lesbian lovers at all, proving once and for all that you can't pull the wool over the eyes of a New Romantic.

The Duran Duran front man seems to have become quite a fuddy-duddy in his old age, and is still smarting over the shock of seeing Madge and Brit-Brit's tongue clash at the 2003 MTV Music Video Awards. He's disgusted! He's outraged! But mainly he feels cheated that the two weren't sincere. "It worried me when Britney snogged Madonna. It looked a bit fake. It screamed 'We're in this for the money.'" Furthermore, he says he "lost all respect" for both after the incident. Which is entertaining, because, uh, Simon Le Bon had respect for Britney Spears?
