Remember how Top Gun featured the Kenny Loggins hit song "Danger Zone"? Well, costar Kelly McGillis took those gut wrenchingly honest lyrics straight to heart, and took that highway straight to the storied danger zone. Danger zone meaning the V-bags of other ladies. After decades and decades of speculation and a failed marriage to a dude, McGillis is finally admitting that she prefers the soft embrace and unpenisness of the fairer sex. She came out to SheWired:
Kelly says, "I'm done with the man thing. I did that, I need to move on in life. That's another part of being true to yourself… that's been a challenge for me personally. I think that was an ongoing process from the time I was about 12. I had a lot of things happened that convinced me that God was punishing me for being gay. That was a hard process. Life is a freaking journey, and it's about growing and changing, and coming to terms with who and what you are, and loving who and what you are."
Well, good for Kelly. Kudos to her. And even if she hadn't been born a gay, being on the set of Top Gun for more than an hour is enough to make anyone go a little nelly. C'mon, it featured men in uniform singing Righteous Brothers songs around a piano and talking about being each other's wingmen and Tom Cruise tooling around on a crotch rocket. Even the key grip started getting his tips frosted and collecting lobby cards from Tallulah Bankhead movies after working on that film.

Is this a joke? Kelly McGillis has lived in Key West and been gay for years.
