The (n)ever-reliable Sun reported yesterday that Kate Moss wed walking crack pipe Pete Doherty in a non-binding Buddhist ceremony in Phuket, Thailand. We suppose that if you are planning on having a sham wedding, a place that looks like "fuck it" is probably the place to do it, especially if Bigreggretz, Indonesia and P¸rjujment, Austria are all booked up.
Why is it that our cousin Cheyenne got caught driving with a dimebag in her Fiesta ONE DAMN TIME and she can't leave the county, but Pete Doherty has been arrested on crack and heroin possession three hundred and seventeen times and he's gallavanting around exotic locales laden with the finest horse in the Eastern world? The Sun reports on the "ceremony":

The lovers had water sprinkled over their heads as a Thai priest pronounced them man and wife.
Friends and family clapped and cheered ó even though the New Yearís Day union at a villa overlooking a Phuket beach is NOT legally binding in the UK.
Their REAL wedding is tipped to take place on January 18. The Sun can exclusively reveal that pals of Kate, 32, have been asked to keep the date free in their diaries.
Wow, you know it's a bad sign when your future husband is identified by the papers not as "musician Pete Doherty" or "Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty" but "junkie Pete Doherty." At any rate, Kate's publicist released a statement pooh-poohing the report:
"Contrary to various entirely false media reports, there has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand. She is on holiday."
Well, no, there wasn't a marriage ceremony. The ceremony described above is a commitment ceremony. You know, like Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern's ceremony. Only with more Thai people and less fake eyelashes, buckets of KFC, and illegitimate babydaddies. About the same amount of opiates, though.
