This morning, we loaded up the main celeb page as per usual, and promptly spit our Kaballah energy beverage all over the screen. "Tom Cruise spotted out with new beau" was staring back at us, and we pumped our fists in the air with devilish glee.
Imagine our disappointment when we clicked on the story and realized that L. Ron's golden boy is, in fact, dating a woman, and we had yet again been manipulated by femalefirst's dearth of fact-checkers. Foiled again.
Turns out Tom is dating Latina (or, as femalefirst says, "Latino") actress Sofia Vergara, a huge star of Spanish-language television and former concubine of Enrique Iglesias. And also a possessor of really, really big boobs. She and Cruise met at a party two months ago and appeared in public together for the first time recently. Sources say the couple are "smitten" with one another: "Sofia has lots of male Latino admirers and pictures of her on the internet are hugely popular. Tom has been single for a while and has been throwing himself into work. But he felt the time was right to start dating again. Hopefully they'll make a perfect match."
