You know, we've been going about this all wrong. For years now, we've been focusing on the comely A-listers of Hollywood–your Jessica Albas, your Jessica Simpsons–waiting for them to give us something. An areola. An errant buttock. Anything. And time and time again, we're left unfulfilled, like Charlie Brown after Lucy swipes the football away. Turns out that all along, we were focusing on the wrong kind of gal. It's the established, mature television star, not the newly-minted starlet, that'll go that extra mile. Take Mary-Louise Parker. For years she was known as the pregnant lady who got dumped by Billy Crudup, but now she's on Weeds and showing her absolutely flawless 44-year-old body in GQ. And now Anna Friel, late of Pushing Daisies and Land of the Lost, topless in Vanity Fair. This lady is as pretty as a bluebird on a goddamned spring day and she's not going to crush your dreams of seeing a boob the way Alba will. There is a moral to this fable and that is if you want to ogle a naked lady, make sure she's over the age of 30 and has a television show with a title that has to do with things that grow in a garden. Take that, Aesop.

Well, since PUSHING DAISIES is doing just that, I suspect there'll be more of her to see in future. Nice to see someone's not as afraid of nudity as some starlets are. C'mon, girls. Skin's only another costume.
