Stone Confuses Pop and Punk; Life and Death

It seems that Oliver Stone has no idea what year it is. If we had just directed Alexander, we would revert to 1999 and pretend that Any Given Sunday was our latest film, too.

We know that Oliver probably has no reason to know who 'N Sync is--although we're convinced that "Bye, Bye, Bye" would have been a perfect addition to his film Nixon--but we had no idea how out of touch with reality the iconic director actually was. After being introduced to 'N Sync's Joey Fatone at a recent party, Stone reportedly greeted him with, "Joey Ramone? This guy is Joey Ramone?" Actually, Ollie, Joey Ramone died almost four years ago. Guess you didn't hear the news because you were so busy trying to figure out how many times you could sneak Colin Farrell's peener into the final cut of Alexander. And just in case you run into Cate Blanchett at the Oscars this Sunday, she is not Katharine Hepburn--she died, too.
