The eagle eyes over at Defamer recently pointed us to an interesting little thread at The DataLounge claiming that someone on the cast of Desperate Housewives will be coming out of the closet via an exclusive cover story in The Advocate. The post was originated by someone who claims to work for ABC, but the validity of rumor is totally questionable. But who cares about validity? This gossip had us so excited over the weekend we could barely leave the house to get piss-drunk and watch some sports-type thingy.

While the ABC spy never stated whether the soon-to-be outed star was male or female, DataLounge readers seem to agree that the star in question is Marcia Cross. One other juicy bit of info leaked by the spy: Along with the whole coming out business, the DH star will also reveal a relationship with a lead on another television series. And it was hinted that the other series is on the WB network. Some of the most popular guesses as to who this mystery lover may be include Everwood's Stephanie Niznik, Summerland's Lori Loughlin, Jack & Bobby's Christine Lahti, and, in the wishful thinking category, Gilmore Girls's Lauren Graham. Now that every straight man reading this has gone into fantasy heaven, we'll share with you our favorite post from this thread: "I have to say, and this is coming from a gay man, that I get strange tingly feelings 'downstairs' imagining Marcia Cross and Stephanie Niznik being a couple.
